homemade granola


Since I have some raw yogurt incubating on my countertop, I thought I would make some homemade granola to go with it.

Honey Nut Granola

- 4 cups rolled oats (not instant)

-1/3 cup honey

-1/3 cup maple syrup

-2 Tbs. canola oil

-1 cup of pecans, roughly chopped

-1 cup walnuts, roughly chopped

-1/2 cup slivered almonds

-1/2 cup shredded coconut

-3 Tbs. flax seed meal

-1 tsp. cinnamon

-1 tsp. vanilla

-1/2 tsp. salt

Preheat oven to 250 degrees.

In a large bowl, combine oats, nuts, coconut, flax, salt, cinnamon. Add in honey, maple syrup, oil, and vanilla. Mix well and make sure everything is evenly coated.

Spread out granola mixture on baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 10-15 minutes.

Store in an air-tight container. I like using big mason jars or pyrex glass dishes that have lids.
